Vale da Telha is located in the Costa Vicentina National Park in the Western Algarve close to the small town of Aljezeur. It has none of the hotels and high rise associated with much of the South Algarve but instead is made up of well spaced, attractive villas in lush surroundings.

The development began over 20 years ago and there are now nearly 2000 villas, all built under strict building control and in large, well spaced plots.

Atmosphere

Peace and quiet, family orientated, no loud bars, "English" pubs or fish and chip shops - very much an unspoilt corner of Portugal.

Villas

Villas are very well kept and presented, the majority are single story and have pools in green, lush gardens.

Local beaches

There are a number of beaches within a few minutes drive of Vale da Telha

• Arrifana - a well protected beach with a small harbour, popular with surfers, cliffs all around and a steep road down to it.
• Monte Clerigo - a lovely large, open beach with sandunes and a couple of bars / restaurants nearby.
• Amoreira - you need to drive back through Aljezeur to get to this one but it is well worth it as there is a lovely river / lagoon for the children to play in.
